First of all, hair is made up of 95% keratin protein, so doing a keratin treatment is adding an extra layer on the hair to control the frizz and relax the hair. Adding protein wouldn’t damage the hair, and since it’s sitting outside of the hair, it doesn’t change the hair structure, hence it does NOT make the hair fully straight. It will relax the hair, meaning curly can become wavy, and give naturally straight look. Therefore don’t expect Keratin Treatment would straighten your hair 100% whereas in some cases it would actually be straight, but it really depends on your hair type, texture, and what products you are using as well. It is more designed for people who have NATURAL frizzy hair and hoping to get it all tamed.
